WE ARE EXPLORING THE HEAVENLY ATTRIBUTE OF JOY

+ We are called to create and enjoy a realm of compassion, peace, justice and sustainable abundance for all.

+ As he was dying, Abba Benjamin taught his sons this: Do this and you’ll be saved: Rejoice always, pray constantly, and in all circumstances give thanks.

This is the translation found in Desert Wisdom: Sayings from the Desert Fathers, Yushi Nomura, Editor, page 87, quoted by Don Postema in Space for God: The Study and Practice of Prayer and Spirituality, page 81.

+ This is simple and profound guidance. This kind of practical wisdom is found throughout the Sayings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers which has been translated and published in several versions.  Joy grows as we pray. Joy grows as we continue to develop an attitude of gratitude.
