SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS – 361

WE ARE EXPLORING THE HEAVENLY ATTRIBUTE OF FREEDOM

+ We are called to create and enjoy a realm of compassion, peace, justice and sustainable abundance for all.

+ For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for self-indulgence, but through love become slaves to one another. For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
-- Galatians 5:1, 13-14

+ For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God; for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
-- Romans 8:19-21

+ Freedom is the ultimate gift of heaven. We are free to choose Love or to reject it. And this is true at each and every moment. What a blessing it is to be able to freely choose the path of abundance, joy, wisdom, beauty, love, truth, peace, justice and freedom moment after moment, day after day. This is bliss.

Accepting this gift of freedom is a fascinating challenge. It simply is not easy to be free.  There are many, many forces opposing the heavenly attribute of freedom.  We are ending this exploration soon and hopefully you and I have increased our ability to receive and enjoy this gift.  I think it is wise to realize that we will end this exploration where we began, practicing stillness.  The more we practice stillness the more we can receive this fantastic gift of freedom and all of the heavenly gifts which we are free to receive endlessly, infinitely, unconditionally.  In order to receive these gifts we need to begin again and again and again to practice the 12 Spiritual Practices beginning with stillness.  We are always free to do so.

+ I would love it if you offered a guest post.  And, I have work to do on the Abundancetrek Freedom page. Maybe you can help.  Send an email with the subject “Freedom” or “Heavenly Attributes” or “Guest Post” to John@abundancetrek.com.

SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS – 351

+ We are called to create and enjoy a realm of compassion, peace, justice and sustainable abundance for all.

+
The fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, patience,
kindness, generosity,
faithfulness, gentleness,
self-control.
Against such there
is no law.
-- Galatians 5: 22-23

+ Peace, in its most fundamental form, is the connection of one human spirit to another.
This was the Gratefulness Word for the Day on May 25, 2016

+ This connection is available to us unconditionally.  There are no limits.  “Against such there is no law.”  The gift of freedom (coming soon as the last of the 9 Attributes of Heaven) is what makes it possible for us to create connections galore.  Peace expands as we realize the abundance of these connections and enjoy them.

Maybe you have heard this before:
We are
intimately,
intricately,
infinitely
connected
by a matrix of
unconditional,
unlimited,
uniting
LOVE
which is
miraculous,
mysterious and
marvelous.

+ Desmond Tutu is one of the great spiritual teachers of our times and he has guided us in these explorations before: SE244 | SE 314 | SE332

+ Spirituality & Practice offers plenty of resources on the practice of Peace and plenty of resources on the practice of Justice. Also S&P provides a 12s Gallery of Memes on Peace and a 12s Gallery of Memes on Justice.  Also, there is plenty of resources on the practice of Connections and a 12s Gallery on Connections.
The meme for this post comes from the Connections gallery.
