SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS – 105
WE ARE EXPLORING THE PRACTICE OF SOLITUDE
+ The whole value
of solitude depends upon one's self; it may be a sanctuary or a prison, a haven
of repose or a place of punishment, a heaven or a hell, as we ourselves make
it.

+ This is the first post in The Journey of the Body
segment of these Spiritual Explorations posts.
We will explore Solitude,
Devotion and Holiness during this
journey. Does this make sense? Do these practices seem like Body
practices? I don’t know. Maybe I am simply trying to fit these
practices into my model. But, when you
think about it, solitude is surely a practice which can get you in touch with
your body. Right? Maybe as we continue
to explore these practices, the connection of the body to Solitude, Devotion and Holiness will become more apparent. We just finished exploring the practice of Healing which is definitely an
essential continuing practice as we go on this Journey of the Body.
Surely the Mind practice of Stillness and the Heart
practice of Silence will
again come into play here. And we can
look forward to the practice of Simplicity when we get to
the Journey of the Soul. These are all
closely connected practices. We have
explored Stillness and Silence and you can always work some more on these essential spiritual
practices by going to the Spiritual Explorations Posts
Access Page and selecting posts in those sections.
+ I would love it if you offered a guest post on this
practice or any practice. And, I have
work to do on my Solitude Page. Maybe you can help. Send an email with the subject “Solitude” or
“Guest Post” to John@abundancetrek.com.
