SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS – 338

+ We are called to create and enjoy a realm of compassion, peace, justice and sustainable abundance for all.

+
Love is not something you do,
It is not how you behave.
There's nothing you can do that constitutes loving another,
No action that is of itself loving.
Love is a way of being.
And more than that.
It is simply being,
Being with another person, however they may be.
Holding no judgements, having no agendas,
No need to have them experience your love,
No desire to demonstrate love,
No intrusion upon their soul.
Nothing but a total acceptance of their being,
Born of your total acceptance of yours.

+ You are fantastic.  You are fascinating.  You are wonderful.  You are amazing.  I invite you to say: “I am  fantastic.  I am fascinating.  I am wonderful.  I am amazing.”  Anything else you can add? I am sure there is because you are so much more than you often think you are.

+ We have let Peter Russell guide us in our explorations previously in SE43, SE203 where he was featured in a video and in SE212.  Visit www.PeterRussell.com for some wonderful explorations into mindfulness, consciousness, philosophy and more.  I particularly like exploring The Church of I AM.

+ We explored the practice of Love & Compassion during our exploration of Heavenliness as a practice in these SE posts: 241 | 242 | 243 | 244 | 245 | 246 | 247 | 248 | 249 |250 | 251 | 252 | 253

+ Spirituality & Practice offers plenty of resources on the practice of Love, on the practice of Compassion and on the practice of hospitality and other related practices.  You can also be illuminated and inspired by their many 12s galleries of memes including the 12s Gallery on Love, the 12s Gallery on Compassion and the 12s Gallery on Hospitality.

+ I would love it if you offered a guest post.  And, I have work to do on the Abundancetrek Love page. Maybe you can help.  Send an email with the subject “Love” or “Heavenly Attributes” or “Guest Post” to John@abundancetrek.com.

SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS – 212

WE ARE EXPLORING THE PRACTICE OF HEAVENLINESS

+ If I penetrate to the depths of my own existence to the indefinable AM that is myself in its deepest roots, then through this deep center I pass into the infinite I AM which is the very Name of the Almighty.
-- Thomas Merton
+ OK, I will say it again (but with I AM this time):

I AM intimately, intricately, infinitely connected in a matrix of unconditional, unlimited, uniting LOVE which is miraculous, mysterious and marvelous.

And so are you.  And again:  You are wonderful, fantastic, amazing, delightful, heavenly.

For more I AM statements from many traditions, go to Peter Russell’s THE CHURCH OF I AM.

+ I would love it if you offered a guest post on this practice or any practice.  And, I have work to do on my Heavenlinesspage.  Maybe you can help.  Send an email with the subject “Heavenliness” or “Guest Post” to John@abundancetrek.com.

SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS – 203

WE ARE EXPLORING THE PRACTICE OF HEAVENLINESS

+ Have you been to the Burning Bush?  It’s not just for Moses you know.  OK, it’s a metaphor but it’s a good one.  We can encounter God in the same way Moses did at the Burning Bush.  And we can hear God speak to us and say I AM.  We can become one with the I AM.  This is a mystical experience meant for all of us.  The importance of this declaration of Oneness, simply saying I AM, becomes clear as we realize that we can find it in all of the wisdom traditions of the planet.

Peter Russell is one of my favorite spiritual guides. He is leading the way for those of us who want these experiences, these wonderful, fantastic experiences in the heavenly realms.  I invite you to be inspired by The Church of I AM and so much more wisdom and guidance offered by Peter Russell.

I invite you to write your own reflections on the meaning and purpose of saying I AM.  You can write  sentences which begin with I AM such as I AM creating peace and justice or I AM making all things new.  The possibilities are endless or I AM the Light of the World.  You are you know.

+ I would love it if you offered a guest post on this practice or any practice.  And, I have work to do on my Heavenliness page.  Maybe you can help.  Send an email with the subject “Heavenliness” or “Guest Post” to John@abundancetrek.com.

SPIRITUAL EXPLORATIONS -- 43

WE ARE EXPLORING THE PRACTICE OF DETACHMENT

+ Peter Russell says:
Letting Go is a mantra of our times. "Just let go," we're advised. "If only I could let go," others complain.

The call to let go lies at the core of humanity's many spiritual traditions. Non-attachment to outcomes, surrendering desires, accepting the present, opening to the guidance of a higher power, relinquishing the ego, forgiveness—they all entail a letting go.

Why is letting go so important? Holding on, these teachings repeatedly affirm, limits perception, makes us tense, and obscures our true nature. Moreover, it lies at the root of most our suffering. Letting go, on the other hand, brings relief, ease, joy, and love.

But if letting go is so valuable, why don't we just do it? The answer, as anyone who has tried can testify, is that it is not as easy as it sounds.

To appreciate why letting go can seem so difficult, we need to understand why we hold on, and what we hold on to. To answer these questions we must delve into a more fundamental question: What is it we really want?

+ I excerpted this from “Letting Go” a great article by Peter Russell on his fantastic website, Spirit of Now. I invite you to explore Spirit of Now. I first discovered this amazing teacher when I found The Church of I AM perhaps 15 years ago.  It’s still there.  It’s fun and it’s meaningful.

Paradoxically, letting go is the way to gain far more. As we go deep into the mystery of greater reality, we find that we can have it all.  But it must be understood that this is a heavenly realm of all and not a limited earthly realm of all.  There is no adequate way to explain this.  It’s a mystery.  It’s an adventure.  It’s something we must all experience for ourselves in our own way.
